So instead of writing my paper, I've decided to write about something that does inspire me and evoke some sort of passion in my soul. I've just recently (as in yesterday) found out about an ingenious company called Lifescouts. The company was created by a wildly successful British YouTube vlogger, entrepreneur, and singer/songwriter extraordinaire by the name of Alex Day. (If you haven't heard of him, I highly recommend you watch some of his videos, as they are extremely entertaining and will allow you to procrastinate AND enjoy yourself immensely at the same time). Anyway, the purpose of participating in Lifescouts is to collect badges which one can buy from the company for a mere
£3 apiece, or in a pack of 5 for £10. Each badge depicts an activity that the buyer must accomplish in order to receive the badge. These tasks range from bungee jumping and skydiving to having a picnic and doing origami, and the goal is to collect as many of the total 100 badges as you wish, then sharing your experiences with others by writing about them.
The reason why I am so fascinated/excited about this company is that it gives you the perfect excuse to dare to try something you never have before. I've always said that skydiving is something I'll probably do one day before I die, but why not now? Lifescouts simply gives you the incentive to actually go out and do something completely new, meet new people, and make memories.
I constantly imagine scenarios where I go out and do activities like skydiving, or visiting the Eiffel Tower, but what if I actually did those things instead of talk about them? I need to remind myself to stop living vicariously through my own overactive imagination and dare to try something I've always wanted to, even if it may seem outrageous. Anyway, that's my thoughts on the most recent thing in life that has got me excited to live it. I've also provided the link to the Lifescouts page if you want to check it out.
Cheers.
